The Company sells protein bars, protein powders, ready to drink protein shakes and protein salty snacks. 1440 Foods has an Omni-channel distribution with leadership positions in the largest retailers in the country and fast eCommerce growth (including Amazon). In October 2021, 4​x​4 completed its acquisition of 1440 Foods, the former Sports and Active Nutrition division of the Bountiful Company, from KKR and Carlyle. In December 2023, 4​x​4 entered into a partnership with Bain Capital Private Equity via a transaction through which Bain acquired a significant stake in 1440 Foods.

FITCRUNCH was founded in 2012 by Bakery Barn, a high-quality active nutrition manufacturer, and Robert Irvine. FITCRUNCH’s growing assortment of great-tasting high-protein snacks, including bars, wafers and powders caters to fitness enthusiasts and everyday consumers looking to enhance their diets.

In November of 2024, FITCRUNCH was acquired by 1440 Foods, a portfolio company of 4​x​4 Capital.
