Alex is the Founder & Managing Partner of 4x4 Capital. Prior to founding 4x4 Capital in 2018, Alex spent 13+ years at AB InBev (ABI) where he was the Business Unit President and Head of Sales for the US and Brazil, the two largest ABI Business Units worldwide. Alex also served as the Business Unit President for Hispanic LatAm and the CEO of Cerveceria Nacional Dominicana.
Alex began his journey at ABI as the Head of Mergers and Acquisitions for AmBev. Prior to ABI, Alex worked for Advent International Private Equity and Goldman Sachs. Alex was the founder and CFO of planetaimovel.com (currently known as Zap Imoveis), and subsequently sold the business to Organizações Globo, one of the largest media conglomerates in South America.
Alex is currently serving as the Executive Chairman of 1440 Foods and a board member of Yelloh, both of which are portfolio companies of 4x4 Capital. Alex has a BA in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas.
Paulo is a Co-Founder and Partner of 4x4 Capital and currently serves as a Board Observer of 1440 Foods.
Previously, Paulo served as CFO of 1440 Foods (previously WSNS), a portfolio Company of 4x4 Capital. He joined 1440 Foods in October 2021 after the transaction closed.
Paulo started his career as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch in London, working in several M&A and capital market transactions for large European industrial companies. Subsequently he worked as a public equity analyst at Farema Capital, a London-based hedge fund investing in European CPG companies. Prior to joining 4x4, Paulo worked at CVC Capital Partners.
Paulo earned his MBA from Stanford University and received his M.S. and B.S. in engineering from École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and Escola Politécnica-USP, where he was a CAPES Foundation scholar.
Rafael is a Co-Founder and Partner of 4x4 Capital and currently serves as a Board Observer of 1440 Foods.
Rafael was the Chief of Staff of 1440 Foods (previously WSNS), a portfolio Company of 4x4 Capital. He joined 1440 Foods in October 2021, right after the deal was closed.
Previously, he worked in Investment Banking at BR Partners Financial Advisory, working in major deals in Brazil and Latin America. Rafael founded LojasApp, an online marketplace for small business owners in Brazil, as well as 55 Ventures, a mobile gaming startup. Rafael holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from PUC-Rio and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.
Gustavo is a Co-Founder & Partner at 4x4 Capital, where he leads the Portfolio Group. He brings over 20 years of experience in global leadership, private equity, and consumer goods.
Gustavo spent a significant part of his career at AB InBev, where he held several senior roles, including President of Grupo Modelo in Mexico and Global Vice President. He was instrumental in integrating Grupo Modelo and driving commercial strategies that accelerated revenues and market share gains. He also optimized trade investment strategies and developed initiatives to expand global brand presence.
In addition, Gustavo served as CEO of Grendene Global Brands, where he successfully launched direct-to-consumer strategies and expanded market operations. His expertise spans mergers and acquisitions, market expansion, and operational efficiency.
Gustavo holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from PUC-Rio and completed the Owner/President Management (OPM) program at Harvard Business School.
Cintia is 4x4 Capital’s General Counsel and Head of Compliance. Before that, she spent more than a decade at Natura & Co Group. The fourth largest cosmetic group in the world.
At Natura & Co Group, Cintia was the North America Head of Legal and before that she was the Senior Corporate Governance Manager based out of NY. Prior to Natura, Cintia worked as an associate at Linklaters in São Paulo. Cintia earned her Masters in Law from Columbia Law School and is licensed to practice law both in NY and Brazil.
She also earned a Professional Certificate in Business Finance Fundamentals and International Finance from New York University
Ana is a Partner at 4x4 Capital, leading capital formation, investor relations and new deal sourcing.
Prior to 4x4 Capital, Ana spent more than 13 years at Goldman Sachs in Investment Banking (9 years) & Derivatives (4 years). Ana also worked for over 3 years at Peninsula Participações, a large family office in Brazil, co-leading direct investments and leading one of the first and largest capital raises for a family office related to a co-investment opportunity globally. Ana also founded Human FWD Capital, an investment company focused on consumer health & longevity.
Ana is a Board Member of the HBS Alumni Board, Co-VP of Entrepreneurship for the HBS Club of NY and Lead of Alumni Startups. Ana has a BA in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas, an MBA from Harvard Business School (with honors) and participated in the Harvard Business School Executive Education program How to Make Corporate Boards More Effective.
Daniel is a member of the 4x4 Capital investment team.
Previously he worked for 5 years at AB InBev in the Global Finance and Global Strategy functions, with responsibilities in Capital Structure, Financial Risk Management, Resource Allocation and long-term strategic planning and execution.
Prior to this, he spent six years as an investment analyst at Dynamo Capital, a London-based investment fund, targeting minority stakes in public companies with a concentrated, long term value focused approach. Prior to this, he was on the investment team of Glennmont Partners, targeting PE investments in the European renewable energy sector.
Daniel graduated from Duke University with a BA in Economics and a certificate in Politics, Philosophy and Economics.
Paulo is a member of the 4x4 Capital investment team.
Previously, Paulo was a Partner at BR Partners Investment Bank, in Brazil, where he spent 7 years as an investment banker working in major deals in Latin America. Paulo holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from FGV-SP and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
David is 4x4 Capital’s Controller. Previously, David worked in the finance and accounting group at HPS Investment Partners, a multi-billion dollar alternative credit manager. Prior to HPS, David was a Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, specializing in alternative investments.
David received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and his MBA from the Sy Syms School of Business of Yeshiva University. David is a Certified Public Accountant in New York.
Alessandro Sperotto is an Operating Partner of 4x4 and member of the Executive Committee at 1440 Foods. Sperotto has almost 30 years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain roles in the Food & Beverages industry. He worked for ABI for 29+ years where he held various leadership positions. His last position was Head of Global Vertical Operations, where he was responsible for 62 operations around the world, producing packaging and raw materials for ABI and 3rd party clients, with a P&L of US$4+bn on net revenue. Before that, Sperotto was head of Global Raw Material Procurement, where he was responsible for the raw material purchase for ABI, as well as for the agro origination programs around the world, working directly with farmers to produce the agricultural inputs ABI needs.
Sperotto holds a B.S. in Agronomy from UPF and a Msc. In Agronomy from UFSM. He also holds and Executive MBA from IBMEC and Executive MBA from Insead and Wharton (Internal ABI program).
David Moran is an Operating Partner of 4x4 Capital, Board Member and Member of the Executive Committee at 1440 Foods. David is also the Co-founder and Chairman of Eversight, a venture-backed SaaS technology that helps Retailers and Consumer Goods companies optimize their Pricing and Promotions. In 2019, out of more than 50,000 companies, Eversight earned multiple “Best Company” awards from Comparably, including Best Company for Diversity, Women, Culture, Compensation, Happiness, and Leadership Teams.
David has spent his career in Consumer Goods and Retail Sales and Marketing, previously as the Global VP of Sales-Revenue Management for Anheuser-Busch InBev nv/sa, the world’s largest brewer. Earlier, David was a leader in McKinsey & Company’s Consumer Pricing Practice where he developed strategies for global retailers and brands. He’s also a Senior Advisor to Genpact’s (NYSE: G) Sales and Commercial service line and to LatentView Analytics (LATENTVIEW.NS), a recognized leader in digital transformation. David has been a guest lecturer for the Stanford Graduate School of Business and USC Marshall School of Business. His interests include pricing, promotions, digitally connected commerce, and applied behavioral economics, for which he holds over twenty patents.
Sandro is an Operating Partner of 4x4 Capital, Board Member and Member of the Executive Committee at 1440 Foods. Sandro has 20+ years of experience in Finance, Strategy and Commercial operational roles in FMCG across multiple markets. More recently he has acted as senior Board-level advisor on business transformation to both corporate and PE-backed businesses through Bain & Company, Carlyle Group and Continental Grain Company. Sandro has also previously acted as Board Member for Nestle Waters in Mexico.
Sandro spent most of his career in AB-InBev where he held various leadership positions. His last position was Commercial Head for Europe as part of the team that transformed the business to step-change topline and bottom-line performance. Before that, Sandro led the M&A integration efforts for SAB and Grupo Modelo, leading to the delivery of over US$4bn in combined annual synergies.
Sandro also held other positions in AB-InBev including Head of Global FP&A, CFO of Grupo Modelo, and Head of Global Revenue Management. Earlier in his career he was a project team leader for The Monitor Company (currently Monitor Deloitte), advising clients on strategic business design and configuration and M&A strategy.
Sandro’s expertise areas include M&A integration & divestitures / carve-outs, operational efficiency, strategic resource allocation and performance management.
